Borzhava (Berezhava) [Boržava (Berežava)]. A mountain group in the Polonynian Beskyd of the Carpathian Mountains between the Vovcha River and Rika River in Transcarpathia. The Borzhava is a wide, level ridge covered with large pastures. Its steep slopes are covered, with beech forests and dissected by valleys up to 1,000 m in depth. The upper forest line lies at 1,100–1,200 m. The slopes are marked by hollows, the traces of glaciation. The highest peak in the Borzhava is Mount Stih (1,677 m).
